Short links are the classic phishing vector. That is a reason to run one carefully, not a reason to pretend the problem is somewhere else. This policy says plainly what we will not carry.

It forms part of the Terms of service, and it applies to every link on every plan, including the free one.

You must not use Brevily to link to, host or distribute

• Phishing — any page that imitates another organisation or person to obtain credentials, payment details or personal data.
• Malware — executables, scripts or documents intended to compromise a device, and any page that serves them.
• Child sexual abuse material. We report this to the authorities and preserve evidence.
• Content that incites violence against a person or a group, or that promotes terrorism.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualises a minor.
• Fraud — fake stores, advance-fee schemes, counterfeit goods, forged documents, and investment or cryptocurrency schemes that misrepresent returns.
• Unlawful sale of regulated goods — controlled substances, weapons, prescription medicines sold without a prescription.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
• Spam — links distributed in bulk, unsolicited, by email, SMS, or messaging platform.
• Cloaking — showing our checks or a human reviewer a different destination from the one real visitors get.
• Circumventing a suspension — creating new accounts or links to replace ones we disabled.

You must not use the service itself to

• resell or white-label Brevily without a written agreement with us;
• attack the service, or use it to attack anyone else, including by using redirects to amplify traffic at a third party;
• probe or test our security without writing to security@brevily.com first, other than passive observation;
• exceed a plan's limits by splitting the same usage across multiple accounts.

What we do about it

We check every destination when a link is created and again on a schedule, against the malware and phishing blocklists we query. We also act on reports from anyone, with no account needed.

Where we find a breach we may disable the link, suspend the account, or both, without prior notice. Phishing and malware reports carry a four-hour review target; everything else twenty-four hours.

A disabled link shows a page saying it was disabled and how to appeal — to the visitor and to the owner. It does not silently break. We do not give the back-half to anyone else. Confirmed phishing is reported onward to the blocklists we contribute to.

For a serious or repeated breach we may also close the account, keep records needed for a legal claim, and report the matter to the police or another authority.

Reporting a link

Anyone can report a link, and you do not need an account. Use the report form or write to help@brevily.com with the short link and what is wrong with it. Tell us if you are the brand being imitated — those go to the front of the queue.

Appealing

If we disabled your link or account and you think we were wrong, write to help@brevily.com from the email address on the account. A person reviews every appeal. If we made a mistake we will restore the link with its history and tell you what went wrong at our end.
